On January 31, 2026, the city of Poltava hosted the Open Championship of the Poltava Region in Combat Self-Defense ICO, dedicated to honoring the memory of fallen Ukrainian soldiers 🇺🇦.
Approximately 150 athletes from various cities and communities of the Poltava region took part in the competition — Myrhorod, Khorol, Kremenchuk, and Poltava. Representatives of the “Jaguar”, “Voin”, and “Gepard” clubs demonstrated their skills, as well as guests from Zaporizhzhia — athletes of the “Tornado” club.
The organizers express their sincere gratitude to the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Association of Combat Self-Defense ICO, Ilona Dobryohlo, for her support and contribution to the development of interregional cooperation 🙏.

Despite challenging weather conditions, coaches and athletes from different regions found the opportunity to attend and take part in the competition, demonstrating strength of spirit, discipline, and respect for the memory of the defenders of Ukraine.
